Keist Park Trail Dedication

Saturday, October 7th

On Saturday, October 7th, we will be dedicating the opening of the Meadow Loop Trail at the Kiest Conservation Area. This Friends of Oak Cliff Project was begun early in November of 2016 with the marking and rough cutting of the foliage on the mile long loop, which connects to the main buggy trail that was reopened by FOCP in 2002. FOCP were recipients of a $10,000 Mayor's Grow South Grant to help with this restoration project.

The program will highlight the completed trail with seats in the shade and light refreshments.

An optional mile trail loop walk is available to those who are up to the challenge. The meadow loop trail circles around the "native" prairie meadow where over 150 species of native Texas wildflowers and grasses have been identified by Dallas County Master Naturalists.
